It Takes Two surpasses 20 million copies sold

Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Two has gone beyond yet another sales milestone, copping the coveted “20 million copies sold” rights. Meanwhile, it’s looking like the team is working on a new project, unsurprisingly, a brand-new IP.

Developer Hazelight Studios announced the milestone on Twitter, thanking everyone across the globe for their support. The game has copped multiple awards, including Game of the Year at 2021’s The Game Awards.

Beyond this exciting news, though, studio founder Josef Fares, who previously teased told people its next game would be revealed this year, took to Twitter to confirm the game would be a new IP and that the time is fastly approaching. While not fully confirmed, we suspect the game will be revealed at this year’s The Game Awards, which kicks off on December 12.

It’s really just a waiting game, though, if we had to peg what kind of game it would be, likely, it will hinge on co-op and hold a deep narrative befitting previous Hazelight games.
