People won’t stop leaking Nintendo’s secret playtest

Nintendo is facing issues as its Nintendo Switch Online Playtest goes live as people won’t stop leaking gameplay and website details about the event. Earlier this week people had been leaking website details.

As IGN reports, the actual playtest has gone live and not long after, people came out of the woodwork sharing footage with some even streaming the playtest despite clear instructions not to.

Based on the report’s tellings, the playtest shows a third-person MMO where the player brings blocks across a planet’s surface, with ropes being part of the game’s transportion. It’s been likened to Minecraft and Dragon Quest Builders.

Players are supposedly having fun with it, though, it’d be weirdly barebones if it were a standalone game, so we suspect this is just a fraction of the planned project or part of something much bigger.
