Unsurprisingly, Nintendo’s new Switch Online software leaked

Remember that Nintendo Switch Online software wrapped behind a terms of service? Yeah, it leaked in a not-so surprising turn of events.

On Twitter, users are sharing screenshots (which are of course being taken down by Nintendo) about the software sooner than expected, considering the actual playtest kicks off on October 23. The software is being compared to something akin to the Miiverse, a defunct social network Nintendo crafted for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

According to IGN, the software is an MMO hybrid that tasks users to develop a large planet and build your own little space. Users would use Beacons to heal the planet’s surface with the end goal being to fully purify the planet. There will also be a player hub where you can level up characters, obtain items, and talk to other players.

There will also be user-generated content, which we’re sure will be heavily monitored by Nintendo.
