No More Heroes creator “isn’t sure” if we’ll see the series ever again

Game designer Goichi “Suda51” Suda has cast doubt that we’ll ever see No More Heroes or its cocky protagonist, Travis Touchdown ever again. We saw the climactic end of the series back in 2021 with No More Heroes 3, but naturally no one wants to see their favorite things end.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Suda drops that it isn’t his call or Grasshopper Manufacture to make whether or not another entry is in the future since the rights are actually in publisher Marvelous’ hands. He would love to see him make a comeback, though.

“Honestly, not even I know that. Of course I’d love to see him again, but to be honest it’s simply not my call to make.”

Of course, if we were ever to see a new entry take the world by storm, it won’t be for a while, we’re sure. Marvelous seems content with focusing on its other IPs like Story of Seasons and Rune Factory, meanwhile Suda is working alongside Deadly Premonition director Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro on the side-scrolling horror game, Barcelona Hotel.

That doesn’t mean Grasshopper is just working on this project, though, as we’ve also got Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP alongside a remaster of Shadows of the Damned.
