Nintendo ends Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle production

Nintendo is no longer producing the $499.99 Nintendo Switch 2 bundle containing Mario Kart World just six months after launch. The bundle contained the console and the first modern $80 base game for effectively $30 cheaper.

The unfortunate news came from a leaked GameStop memo then an official statement from GS. Interestingly, Nintendo has since mentioned the bundle, but didn’t really treat it like it was a bundle it was already making beforehand. Any replenishment of the console will be the standard $449.99 base model.

This bundle ceasing production isn’t that shocking, as Nintendo was pretty clear that it would be a limited time thing, but to offer it for only six months following the console’s release is kind of a short window. We’re pretty sure Nintendo isn’t going to raise its prices further, unlike its competition.
