Original Switch gets price hike in Canada

Following the debut of the Nintendo Switch 2 last month, Nintendo is hiking the price of the original Switch. This will affect all Switch models, including its Lite and OLED variants.

Blaming “market conditions” following US president Donald Trump’s decision to cut off trade talks with Canada (via BBC), the full extent isn’t totally known, but we do know all models will be affected as well as services like Switch Online and amiibo, according to VGC.

We’ll learn more about these price adjustments on August 1, but for right now we’re just left to speculate.
