New mega evolutions confirmed for Pokemon Unite

Pokémon Unite has already welcomed several Mega Evolution Pokémon like Mega Lucario, Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Charizard X. The game will invite two more mega evolved representatives as Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard Y.

Mega Gyarados will join the roster on December 5, 2025, before Mega Charizard Y earns its welcome on December 19, 2025. The developers have confirmed that both new mega evolutions are available to acquire through their special event for a limited time. While it’s possible to form a team with the mega-evolved Pokémon and their original counterpart, mega evolutions have limited movesets and held items.
