Marvel’s Blade has been in the works since January 2022

It appears that Marvel’s Blade, one of the standout reveals during this year’s The Game Awards, has been in the works since early 2022. If this is the case, we really hope that the game isn’t releasing too soon.

As spotted by IdleSloth84 on Twitter, Campaign Director Dana Nightingale’s LinkedIn has the time listed as January 2022. This could mean a lot of things, but we’d assume this is when the game entered pre-production, which can last quite a while. Considering Arkane Studios and Bethesda aren’t even sharing platforms yet, we assume it’s still in that phase or — most likely — just exited it when the game was revealed.

Very little is known about Marvel’s Blade, with the team behind it rather hush-hush about it and what little we do know boils down to it being a single-player action game based on the Marvel hero in Paris. We’d say a safe bet is the game is slated for 2025 at the earliest as an Xbox and PC exclusive. We’re sure we’ll hear more about it as the year rolls over potentially during another Xbox Games Showcase.
