Grand Theft Auto 5 sells over 202 million copies

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold over 202 million copies across its life. The singular entry debuted in 2013.

In its latest fiscal report, Rockstar parent, Take-Two Interactive, goes on record to express that the game has breached that new milestone. Meanwhile, the IP itself, across all its games and collections, has managed to sell over 435 million copies.

It’s an impressive feat, especially since back in May, we heard the game sold 200 million copies, but also not the most surprising as we continue to wait for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, which is poised to release in fall 2025, despite rumors saying otherwise.
