Nintendo recently hosted an Indie World Showcase to reveal the upcoming games coming from various indie developer studios. The global Indie World Showcase presented a good amount of games for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, though it didn’t reveal every Indie game.
The Japanese Indie World Showcase highlighted several new games that were omitted from the global Indie World Showcase. The new games won’t be exclusive to the Japanese region, but will be available to the global audience as well in 2026.

Town of Dream Stories enrolls the player as a mover in a new town. Residents will send requests to reposition belongings and furniture in certain rooms, such as a kitchen or wizard’s lair. Each request will have certain requirements to fulfill, but how the room is decorated is up to the player’s imagination.
Each job will offer different rewards after completing the move. These rewards can open up a new assortment of unique decorations for players to fashion their rooms, which are customizable with specific colors and styles.
Little Witch in the Woods

Little Witch in the Woods focuses on Ellie, an apprentice witch who’s learning magic in Lucerine Ortu. She’ll explore the land of witches to find and record new discoveries in her journal, including creatures, items, and other valuables.
Ortu will offer many opportunities for Ellie to utilize in her magical adventure, letting her fish, craft, and more. The young witch will also meet several villagers with different personalities and stories to learn. She can aid different requests from villagers, which may present rewards for her to decorate her own home.
Schrodinger’s Call

Mary is a young protagonist who takes up a heavy responsibility during Schrodinger’s Call. As the world is teetering to its end by the moon’s fall, those living with regret will call Mary as their last guide to listen.
Mary will note down essential details from each living being on the other end, drawing up their immersive stories of guilt in her notebook. How the caller develops will rest entirely up to Mary’s responses, if she even chooses to. She’ll be making multiple decisions to relieve the callers’ regrets from a secluded room with a mysterious cat that will face Earth’s inevitable end in just 21 nanoseconds.

Magical Girl Witch Trial presents a dark, suspenseful experience within an ominous mansion. Thirteen girls are mysteriously forced into the decrepit shelter with an unusual owl-like being supervising them.
The girls are candidates to become witches within a mysterious mansion that houses growing dark secrets, like murder. After discovering dead bodies, the group has to investigate and gather in a court trial to discuss the cases. Their time during the trials is limited, forcing them to cross-examine relatable statements and evidence to uncover the truth behind everything.
Coffee Talk Tokyo

Release: May 21, 2026
Coffee Talk Tokyo welcomes a new setting and culture for the franchise. The coffee shop still holds its serene, chilling atmosphere with new characters that range between human and yokai, like kitsunes.
Coffee brewing returns with familiar methods like etch and invert. Stencil is a new method for making specified designs within the coffee.
Opus: Prism Peak

Opus: Prism Peak presents a spiritual journey for the exhausted, worn photographer, Eugene. After finding himself stranded in the Dusklands, he meets a mysterious girl with no recollection of her past. She only senses a need to reach the peak of Dusk Mountain, which Eugene assists.
Since Eugene is a photographer, he can take photos and record his findings in a journal. The Dusklands hosts its own mysteries with its territory and spiritual residents, which can be uncovered when connecting the right angles. How he interacts with the spirits can affect his main adventure, including what awaits the main duo at the end.
Öoo

Öoo is the uniquely shaped protagonist that explores the dark, puzzling ruins. The world is expansive with different sections that include various contraptions like spike traps, frogs, regenerating blocks, and more.
The protagonist can’t do much, though its bombs make up for its limits. The bombs aren’t just usable to break exploitable areas, but also give the protagonist a boost in height and horizontality. It can even place weight during scenarios that require pressure on a switch to open doors.
Japanese Rural Life Adventure

Japanese Rural Life Adventure simulates a well-crafted world within the Japanese countryside. The player becomes the new resident of the city who slowly finds comfort in the new rural lifestyle.
How the new resident will stay accustomed to the village will depend on the player’s decisions during the day. The world is open for activities that range from fishing to bug catching to growing crops and more, including socializing with villagers. Interacting with the new hometown will present new areas to discover.
Back to the Dawn

Back to the Dawn presents a heavily dense story that splits between two protagonists: Thomas the Fox as a journalist and Bob the Panther undercover Agent. They were forced into a maximum security prison for different reasons, which will motivate them to break out. How they can complete their main objectives and escape rests entirely up to the player.
The maximum security prison houses many possibilities for prisoners to participate, such as cleaning, playing games, exercising, or even fighting. It has three main gangs with a huge cast of expressive inmates to meet behind bars, whether to develop or abuse relationships. Either protagonist can choose whatever is necessary to gather enough evidence for a certain conspiracy and escape before getting caught in deeper trouble.
Homura Hime

Homura Hime is the main protagonist who’s also called the Flame Princess. She’s considered the strongest exorcist in a world where humans and demons coexist.
When a group of powerful demons appears, the Flame Princess is summoned to eliminate them with her swordfighter style and flame exorcism techniques. Her targets won’t be easy to take down due to their stage-wide demonic arts and bullet hell attacks. She’ll need to overcome such challenges to purify the world.
