Every Game from Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2026

The Nintendo Switch 2 has already been on the market for over half a year. Its stronger high-end specs have expanded its possibilities for many developers to produce the teams’ ideal games, including indie developers.

Nintendo recently presented its Indie World Showcase for the general audience, which is the first Indie World presentation for the Nintendo Switch 2. The momentum for the growing studios isn’t slowed down by the Nintendo platform, allowing them to make the most unique games for the Nintendo consoles.

Denshattack

Training for tricks

Denshattack involves a band of outcasts resisting the leading Miraidō corporation in a Japanese dystopia. The main group uses their reliable, durable train to take an action-packed, stylish journey through the colorful wonders of Japan.

The main outcasts show off their expressive rebellion by styling off railways and paths through famous Japanese locales such as Kyushu and Osaka. The train can kickflip, ollie, and grind through the country to earn the most points while challenging large foes like mechanical beasts. It’s also possible to customize the train for more fashionable appearances during the intense ride.

My Little Puppy 

Man’s best friend

My Little Puppy features the experience of doggy heaven from the perspective of Bong-gu, the Welsh Corgi who lived peacefully with his owner before passing on to doggy heaven. The afterlife allowed the Corgi to play and live with other dogs until he caught his owner’s scent. His senses kicked in, encouraging him to rush out of doggy heaven to find his lost owner.

Bong-gu will venture back to Earth to overcome different obstacles like platforming, sailing, snow, and even dark creatures. He can meet other dogs who can assist him on his main quest or challenge him to competitive games.

Heave Ho 2

Heave Ho 2 brings back the most handholding action party gameplay. Accuracy and timing are now even more crucial to master the new levels for the fastest time.

The new game will present eight new themed worlds for up to four players to cooperate locally or online. Each world will introduce new sets of challenges and obstacles to overcome, like steering spaceships and cooking.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault finds Will the merchant returning for another roguelite adventure for treasure and discovery. He dives into the vault to collect lots of loot, which is hidden near traps and foes. Will can use weapons ranging from blades to firearms to even his backpack to defend himself before organizing certain valuables to bring home.

Will isn’t just skilled with combating foes, but also crunching numbers within the market. He can organize his valuables to sell to the townspeople and heroes at preferred prices in his reliable shop.  

Woodo

Wooden coloring book
Release: Summer 2026

Woodo is a casual puzzle game that takes place in a wooden diorama of the world. Every level starts with a still bland scene, requiring the player to build and organize wooden pieces in the right spots to give more life to the 3D coloring book of a game.

Building each diorama scene will make the objects and animals more expressive. It will also play out narrative moments from the adventure of Foxy the Fox and Ben the Frog. 

Minishoot’ Adventures

Two classics in one

Minishoot’ Adventures occurs when the Unchosen has appeared to rule over the world, including the protagonist’s home village. After everyone gets trapped in corrupted crystals, it’s up to the protagonist to stop the Unchosen’s army and save everyone.

The game is designed similarly to traditional top-down Legend of Zelda, but twists its gameplay formula with classic 8-bit spaceship shooter. The protagonist has to travel through different locations to find his friends and acquire enough Primordial powers to face the growing corruption in the bullet hell journey. 

The Midnight Walk

The Midnight Walk features a unique artstyle with its world designed with sculpted clay. This realm isn’t too kind to anyone, as there are malicious creatures roaming within The Dark.

The protagonist has to travel through this horrifying world with Potboy, a small creature with a bright flame. The creatures yearn for anything producing light, encouraging the main duo to outsmart and evade any predator to reach the end of Midnight Walk.

Rotwood

Hunt for corruption

Rotwood is the main world that fell into chaos from corrupted beasts. The growing threat has forced the few hunters to eliminate anything endangering their home.

The hunters will travel to eliminate specified creatures harming eight locations of Rotwood, such as the snowy tundra and dark caverns. Up to four hunters can team up locally or online in the action beat-em-up adventure before preparing their desired roles with various equipment and abilities. Taking down larger bosses in different areas will provide more beneficial rewards.

Mixtape

Chain of memories
Release: May 7, 2026

Mixtape provides an emotional narrative surrounding the past development between three friends. As they travel together, they go through a musical playlist that sets the mood to reminisce about their past journeys.

The friendly trio will go through their most impactful moments that shaped their relationship, like escaping the police and TP-ing a house. Their memories are inspired by music, which take the form of songs from DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, and more.

Blighted

A sickening war
Release: Fall 2026

Blighted is a Metroidvania action-RPG that takes place in an apocalyptic world overtaken by the dreaded Sorcisto’s infection. The protagonist is the lone survivor who didn’t just lose their home village, but also the memories of their people. 

The world is harsh with corrupted beasts that change their strength based on the protagonist’s corrupted Blight. The infected protagonist can fight the difficult creatures alone or with a partner through local or online play. They must eliminate the corrupted forces before the Blight takes over. 

Deadzone: Rogue

Deadzone Rogue is a sci-fi roguelite FPS adventure in a mysterious space station. Aggressive biomechanical creatures have taken over the ruined station, marking their territories in different zones.

Up to three players can squad up to prepare for certain missions within the spaceship, creating different geared builds for aggressive or stealthy approaches. Players don’t just equip powerful guns, but also augmentations and perks for enhanced abilities. It’s even possible to use different elements for advantageous effects.

Grave Seasons

Farming within suspicions

Ashenridge is the primary setting of Grave Seasons which hosts dark secrets. The player becomes a new resident in town, and can farm and collect resources while socializing with other residents. 

The town isn’t so welcoming however, with the growth in suspicious crimes. It’s up to the protagonist to uncover the truth about Ashenridge and the mastermind behind the murders, which can involve taking advantage of townspeople’s relationships for clues.

Unrailed 2: Back on Track

Connecting the way

Unrailed 2: Back on Track is a chaotic railroad-building game that lets up to four players construct railroad tracks. Anyone can squad up through local or online play to create the ideal railways for the trains.

The new procedurally generated world is sectioned with six new biomes, including woody forests and inflamed caverns. Reaching the end of the biome will summon a boss that will test the players’ strategy for completing the train’s tracks. Completing the train’s destinations provides new rewards for upgrading the trains or rail tracks. 

Toem 2

Toem 2 opens up another photo adventure for discovering more mysterious events known as Toems. A curious photographer gained motivation to capture and record new Toems through photos.

The new journey allows the protagonist to discover new areas by climbing and jumping. He’ll also interact with new people to progress certain tasks.

InKonbini: One Store. Many Stories

Growing bonds and business

InKonbini: One Store. Many Stories simulates an engaging slice-of-life narrative of working in a retail store. Anyone can closely experience managing retail and organizing inventory through the perspective of Makoto Hayakawa, a young college student.

Makoto doesn’t just interact with her store, but also with customers. Certain dialogue can reveal different details and perspectives about the expressive customers’ livelihood. The game is detailed to perfectly create an early 1990s Japanese convenience store.

Outbound

Bonding with Mother Nature

Anyone who likes a relaxing camping experience in the outdoors can try out Outbound. Players can travel outdoors in a camper van before changing it into the most desirable home.

The outside world has different resources for the player to craft items for decorating the van. It’s even possible to make technological creations to utilize energy, like solar panels. Anyone can create the most idealistic home in nature alone or with up to four friends through local or online play.

Ratatan

Life beyond music

Ratatan are creatures who yearn to reach The Everafter. Their lifelong dream will force the strange beings on a dangerous journey filled with side-scrolling action and rhythmic music.

The Ratatans use teamwork and upgrades to challenge anything standing in the way of their main goal. Failure only encourages them to try again, which will change their adventures between multiple attempts.

Blue Prince

Manor of secrets

Blue Prince is an award-winning puzzle-based adventure through the ever-changing halls of Mt. Holly. The mysterious manor is filled with hidden secrets and rooms that change each day, making each run different from the ones before.

The heir of Mt Holly will investigate through each puzzling room to find the lost Room 46. The protagonist can utilize any upgrade to the estate’s designs to further uncover its hidden secrets.

Brandon Williams

Brandon has played games ever since the PS2 like Ape Escape, Rampage Total Destruction, and Crash Bandicoot. His love for RPGs would only grow once he played Persona 3, which made him try other immersive games like Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne and Xenoblade Chronicles. He continues to play on modern consoles like PS4 and Nintendo Switch 2.
