Assassin’s Creed Shadows revealed, trailer coming soon

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red has an official name now, that being Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Even more exciting, though, it has a trailer heading our way tomorrow morning.

Ubisoft has officially unveiled one of its many upcoming Assassin’s Creed projects will have a cinematic trailer debuting at 9 AM PT tomorrow. This aligns with its previous report on its world premiere date. If that section was correct, we’ll likely have a Ubisoft Forward sometime in July.

Taking place in Feudal Japan, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will apparently take cues from previous entries with its open world action RPG style, like Valhalla and Odyssey, it’s also keying in on a separate niche by focusing on stealth-combat, something that has felt like it’s been in the backseat of Ubi’s assassin-focused franchise for some time now.

If you’re needing a more linear experience, though, it sounds like one is coming with Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, which features a limited open world, witchcraft, a female protagonist, and takes place in the 16th century.
