Assassin’s Creed Codename Red could be revealed in May

Ubisoft’s flagship series, Assassin’s Creed, is obviously getting another entry, with Assassin’s Creed Codename Red being among the most talked about, despite the lack of public details. We know it takes place in feudal Japan and will see the series returning to its sprawling open world adventure with RPG elements.

Ubisoft Creators Program member BunnyTheVillain spilled the beans on Twitter, stating they got this info from a trusted source. From the looks of its timeline, we could hopefully see a world premiere sometime in May, followed by a Ubisoft Forward gameplay showcase in July, and an official release in November.

Assuming all goes to plan, that is. But, it does seem like a logical timeline for what is the next entry in a flagship franchise for a studio as large Ubi. This also adds to rumors from last year, claiming a 2024 release window for the game, and an Insider Gaming report that alleged more details would come in early 2024.

In terms of rumored mechanics, it’s alleged the game will feature two protagonists and hold a more Splinter Cell-style stealth focus, with the modern story taking place in the future.

More Smash Jump: Dragon Quest Builders arrives to PC in February, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth almost ran three disks, and Spec Ops: The Line has been delisted on Steam.
