Square Enix has announced a free demo for Octopath Traveler 0. It’s currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.
The demo allows anyone to craft the main protagonist before setting off on an expansive adventure. The only accessible content is the first starting chapters of the Restoration story or “Master of” arcs, though they can be played in any order within the three-hour playtime limit. The demo will end once the three-hour mark is reached, though any saved progress can transfer over to the full game. It’s a good opportunity to get a head start for the three main antagonists: Herminia, Tytos, and Auguste.
