Official physical editions for Final Fantasy this year

After the release of Final Fantasy 16, Square Enix has been focusing on the return of previous entries through remasters and remakes. Some of the revitalized games haven’t gotten a physical release on platforms like the Nintendo Switch until recently.

The developer has announced a physical release for Final Fantasy 9 for Nintendo Switch on December 9. Final Fantasy 7 and 8 Remastered for the Nintendo Switch will also be paired in a twin pack physical edition on the same date.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Rebirth already have physical editions for the PS5, but the developer brought the games in a twin-pack. This makes it easier for anyone to immerse themselves in the new Final Fantasy 7 iteration before the upcoming final entry.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Rebirth Twin Pack Physical Edition is scheduled to release on December 5, 2025.
