Xbox and Fanta collab reveals surprise feature for upcoming game

Coming mid-April, Fanta will feature several Xbox-owned series in special cans and bottles as part of the 25th Anniversary for the Microsoft-owned gaming brand.

The collab will include a special Fanta Crimson flavor that seems to be a sour cherry and various in game cosmetics to unlock.

One stand out inclusion is a special skin for the Master Chief in the upcoming Halo: Campaign Evolved. A ground up remake of the original game’s story mode, Microsoft has made it clear the remake will not include the competitive multiplayer of the original, making the inclusion of character customization a bit surprising. Despite this, the game will have co-op functionality, so player expression still has a reasonable avenue.

Fans will be able to redeem the swanky spartan style once the game becomes available, though no hard date has been given. Other titles, such as World of Warcraft and Call of Duty, will let you redeem their bonuses immediately.

Forza Horizon 6 will also let you unlock a swanky fanta featured car at release, though that title’s launch is set for late May. While Halo: Campaign Evolved seems likely to launch later this year, one has to wonder if its possible for the promotion to end before the release date, potentially locking the content away, a terrifying thought for the Fanta-agnostic who loves a sun-drenched spartan.
