Takashi Yamazaki returns with a new Godzilla movie

Love seeing some new kaiju content? Ready to see these behemoths in action? Well, get ready for this one because everyone’s fan favorite giant is roaring its way back to theaters.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, famous Japanese studio giant Toho announced on Friday that Godzilla will return with a new film, marking 38. Godzilla Minus One writer, director, and visual effects supervisor, Takashi Yamazaki, will once again be responsible for all those roles in the next movie.

Toho’s Godzilla X account posted a video of the award-winning Japanese filmmaker announcing the upcoming movie.

Whether or not the new Godzilla film will be a direct sequel to the critically acclaimed Godzilla Minus One or a new standalone story, let alone all the praise the movie has received, fans will still be eagerly waiting for the giant stomping two-legged lizard to return once again in the big screen. After all, Yamazaki is returning to helm the project.
