One Piece announces lengthy break, returns next year

Toei Animation is taking a breather from the constant grind of One Piece for a couple months. That doesn’t mean the show is going without anything new, though.

Over on the Crunchyroll blog, following the premiere of Episode 1,112, it was revealed the show would be taking a break, returning to normal programming in April 2025. The lengthy, hit anime won’t be gone, though, as the team is working on remastering the Fish-Man Island Saga with One Piece Log: Fish-Man Saga as well as a special 25-year anniversary episode.

While new episodes of the Egghead Arc are on hiatus, these new remastered episodes will start airing on October 26 through March 30. The new version will feature “enhanced contemporary visuals” with this abridged 21-episode romp.
