New Batman film, The Brave and the Bold, finds its writer

The Brave and the Bold has been on the docket since like 2023 when DC heads James Gunn and Peter Safran revealed it. But, it’s for the most part been silence after that, as the studio still needed to find a writer, which it’s found in Christina Hodson, who has worked on The Flash, Birds of Prey, and more DC properties.

The Insneider (via THR) confirmed the crew selection, but isn’t sure how far along the project actually is, with one of its sources claiming it’s been kicked around since fall while another stated it would be “some time” before a definitive draft is turned in. This would just add more time for potentially a new director to be found if Andy Muschietti isn’t available by the time the final draft is done, as he’s become a pretty hot commodity following HBO’s Welcome to Derry.

The Brave and the Bold centers on the Batman and Robin — of course — with the Robin this time around being Damien Wayne, the illegitimate son of Bruce who was raised by assassins.
