Netflix’s The Witcher ends this year with new final season

Netflix has confirmed that The Witcher TV series will be ending with its concluding Season 5 airing sometime this year.

While some weren’t so sure it would end, the synopsis below all-but-confirms the end of Geralt’s journey.

“The time of the end is nigh: dark forces are aligning all across the Continent with villainous designs on Ciri. Even if Geralt and Yennefer can save their daughter and fulfill their last wish of reuniting as a family, they’ll have to face obstacles — and enemies — the likes of which they’ve never faced before.”

The season was expected to follow shortly after the previous, as both Season 4 and 5 were filmed back to back and described by Joey Batey as “one large story.”

The Witcher Season 5 doesn’t currently have a release date outside of launching circa 2026.
