Jason Momoa takes on new DCU role as Lobo

Jason Momoa might be established as Aquaman, but it seems he’s trading those fish powers for immortality as he takes up the mantle of Lobo. His first appearance as the foe is in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Momoa, who has been speculated to take on the role since James Gunn and Peter Safran took up co-CEO positions, will take up the role, as confirmed by Deadline.

Beyond his build being perfect for the role, he has also shared immense interest in playing Lobo in previous interviews. In a recent Instagram post, Momoa confirms his inclusion, but stops at where he’ll be involved, but coupled with the Deadline report, it seems to track.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is poised to release on June 26, 2026.
