Taking cues from Cruella De Vil, Gaston is spreading his egg-loving wings as Disney eyes him as the focus of a new live action film. This comes after the House of Mouse scrapped a live action TV project that would see Luke Evans returning to the role.
As reported by Deadline, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse co-writer, Dave Callaham, inks the script while Andor executive producer, Michelle Rejwan, produces.
The film’s plot is, as previously said, vague, but it will be wholly original, meaning it won’t star Evans. It’s said to have “swashbuckling” tones to it, so we suspect we’ll see Gaston out at sea or out adventuring.
