Clayface movie confirmed for 2026

Among Batman’s more notable adversaries, Clayface is poised to find himself on the big screen in his very own movie. Fans will have to wait a bit, though.

DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn revealed on Twitter that the Mike Flanagan-scripted flick has been greenlit. Prior reports from Variety pointed to the film getting the greenlight following the success of The Penguin series.

At this stage, we really just know that horror specialist Flanagan is poised to script while Lynn Harris and Matt Reeves are in line to produce. Reports had also pointed to the film starting filming in early 2025, and with its 2026 release window, that seems all-the-more likely.

The Clayface movie is planned to release in 2026.
