Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 has a Guitar Hero reference set to be removed

Following the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, fans spotted an odd reference to Activision’s Guitar Hero series found in the trash. Of course, this reference does feel doubly disrespectful considering Neversoft, the OG devs of the Pro Skater games went on to make Guitar Hero.

Fans spotted the reference on Reddit (via IGN), which quickly led to Iron Galaxy stepping in telling fans it’s investigating how that got in the game in the first place. It also apologized for the reference and that it does have a lot of respect for Neversoft.

Now, not everyone took this reference to heart, with some even noting it as just some edgy joke that echoes the OG Pro Skater games. Others point to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, which had a shameless knock-off, Banjo Champion. That said, it’s not the reference to the largely dead IP that people didn’t like, it was the fact it was found in a trashcan.
