The Plucky Squire tones down its tutorials in new update

A new update put out there on PC has toned down The Plucky Squire’s excessive tutorials. You can play it as normal, or you can also turn on “Streamlined Mode.”

Per a Devolver Digital press release, the new mode is for those who don’t need as much handholding. Some unneeded dialog is dashed, tutorials are skimmed, and control remains in the player’s hands more. It also patches some bugs and adds new dialog portraits.

Right now, the patch is only available on PC, but it will come to consoles “very soon.”

In our review, Elena Swan writes: “Overall, The Plucky Squire is a great game because of its bright and colorful animation, relaxing music, and clever gameplay. Even though the game is aimed at children, some teens and young adults looking for a comfort game will enjoy it as well. “
