The New York Game Awards invites Reggie as a special co-host

The New York Video Game Critics Circle is hosting a special two-day gathering in New York City on January 17-18, 2026. The weekend starts with GG Fest, which hosts a special fan and art showcase with various events, including a SuperGiant concert. It isn’t until the following day that the best games and creators of the year are awarded during the 15th New York Game Awards. It’s also confirmed that Pokémon will accept the Andrew Yoon Legend Award during the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

The NYVGCC welcomes several guests to the weekend-filled event, including Reggie Fils-Aimé. The former Nintendo of America commented on his hype for the event as he’ll participate for both days through his panel at GG Fest and co-host position in the New York Game Awards with Harold Goldberg.

Tickets are available for purchase as one-day or two-day weekend pass. The celebration doesn’t end with the New York Game Awards, but with multiple award winners, guests, and fans attending the After Party. There’s only a limited number of After Party Passes that are exclusive to participants for the New York Game Awards.
