Sonic X Shadow Generations surpasses 1.5M units sold

Sonic X Shadow Generations has fostered over 1.5 million units sold since its debut late last month. This is just another one of Sega’s big releases of 2024.

On Facebook, of all places, Sonic’s official Southeast Asia page revealed that it went beyond that milestone. That said, a large portion of those sales was actually launch day — a million of those sales, to be more specific.

Now, that’s not to say that’s bad; after all, the game is set to see DLC heading our way, which introduces new levels to Shadow Generations based on the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which features Shadow as the main antagonist.

Smash Jump’s Elena Swan said this in our review: “Sonic X Shadow Generations is a speedy adventure that fans of the franchise will adore. The games give players plenty of time to spend with the iconic blue hedgehog while also putting a spotlight on his mysterious rival.”
