RoboCop VR game halts development following license snafu

RoboCop: Streets of Anarchy first hit the scene earlier this month under the development of Coffee Moth Games, promising an original narrative and “bombastic action.” Now, though, it appears to be squashed as the game was never officially licensed by Amazon-MGM at all.

UploadVR reports the game’s webpage has been blocked behind a password. Furthermore, the IP was never authorized for use by the studio. Digging even deeper, it seems like Coffee Moth Games is putting itself as a middle man for the VR game.

Regardless of the situation, it sounds like Streets of Anarchy is dead in the water after only around two weeks of public knowledge. The studio itself has gone into lockdown, with the studio’s website locked behind a password.
