The thrilling and innovative detective simulator, Shadows of Doubt, is coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year, although publisher Fireshine Games did not reveal a set date yet. The game was nominated for “Most Innovative Gameplay” at the 2023 Steam Awards.
The sim thrusts players into a noir city of crime with fully simulated individual citizens. There are no duplicated NPC with a lack of backstory, every character in Shadows of Doubt has a routine, a place where they live, a job they work at, and secrets to hide.
Along with the announcement of the upcoming console release came a new update to the game. With this new update, new buildings, player skills, the addition of fast travel, and many more quality-of-life additions will be implemented. These updates will also be included in the console release. The game may leave Steam Early Access when it launches on console, signifying a full release.
