New Suicide Squad patch broke the game for some players

Players are reporting issues following the latest Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League patch, which was poised to fix “various crashes, progression blockers, connectivity issues and several server side improvements.” But, of course, with the bugged voice line debacle, we can’t really say this is too shocking.

Users on the game’s Subreddit are saying that they can’t get into the game, getting stuck on a black screen. Others are hitched before loading into Metropolis, like YouTuber JayShockblast who took to Twitter to show that he’s getting stuck.

This isn’t even a console specific issue, either. People across the platforms have chimed in saying this “loading Metropolis” bug is present in PC, Xbox, and PS5. Some are noting that they’re going to set the game down until things pick up, particularly when The Joker steps up to the plate. We’re behind the community where we don’t know how this bug went unnoticed by QA. For its part, it is investigating the issue and will work on a patch to fix the matter.

In our review, we praised its gunplay, crisp audio design, and memorable moments, but couldn’t look past the lackluster story and “draining live service elements.”
