New Nintendo console, Switch 2, has been delayed into early 2025

It’s not a secret that Nintendo is working on a new console, what is a secret is when it’ll release, what it will be like, and whether it’s gonna stick true to the form factor of the Switch or something completely different. Well, we won’t get our hands on it until sometime next year.

Spurred on by Brazillian tech journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe, before being cooberated by VGC, Eurogamer, and Bloomberg, the console is now eyeing an early 2025 release window. VGC sources supposedly told the outlet they were working on 2025 games for the new Nintendo console.

Largely, if Nintendo wants this new console to succeed, it will really have to step up its game, keep the Switch very alive and well while building up this new console, and — hopefully — allow players to play their library on this new console, so backwards compatibility.
