New Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth patch bugs quest, players can’t Platinum

The recent Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth patch, 1.020, has apparently led to some unfortunate bugs, barring players from achieving the coveted Platinum Trophy status. The silver lining is physical players have an upper hand.

According to a report from Kotaku, players on social media and forums are cautioning players of an issue with the Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop quest, which has a trophy tied to getting a high score on the G-Bike arcade simulator. So far, Square Enix hasn’t addressed the problem, we assume it knows of the bug, but isn’t will address it later this week. We assume, it won’t be too long before this is ironed out, probably a week or two.

Nonetheless, for those with physical copies, you can also uninstall the game, disconnect your PS5 from the internet, reinstall it through the disc, and load up a save from before the minigame. Just get the score again, and then you’ll be able to fix the issue. Now, you can’t just use any old save, though, if it’s after the bug happened, you can’t fix it.

Fair note, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth might run a little worse than its patched, digital counterpart, but you can still feasibly get Platinum status.
