New ESRB rating for Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake pops up

Many fans of Prince of Persia have anticipated the official release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The developers made no announcements yet, though dedicated enough development time for ESRB to rate the game. It was previously confirmed as rated T for teens, which is faithfully designed like its original counterpart with blood, partial nudity, violence, and sexual themes.

The rating page was taken down shortly after, but Smash Jump can confirm it was live once, though it further proved Ubisoft’s plans to release the upcoming Prince of Persia in early 2026. It was already revealed during Ubisoft’s latest earnings report that mentioned the 2025 Quarter 4 schedule, which included the Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake. The company’s current quarter will last until March 31, 2026, so details about Prince of Persia will turn public very soon.
