New Dragon Ball title confirmed for the series’ 40th anniversary

Dragon Ball will celebrate its 40th anniversary during Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri at Makuhari Messe International on January 25, 2026. It will provide several new Dragon Ball announcements, including a new game.

The schedule is confirmed to reveal the selection of ordered announcements, including weekly Dragon Ball news, a live performance concert of Hironobu Kageyama, and updates to supported games like Dragon Ball Legends. This is also a good chance to try Dragon Ball games through demo booths like Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero for Nintendo Switch 2, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, Dragon Ball Super Divers, and more.

Tickets are processed through a lottery system, including stage viewing seats and priority admission to the merchandise area. It’s possible to obtain admission tickets for three time periods, which will provide different Dragon Ball news based on the schedule. Each announcement will host different speakers, including Masako Nozawa.
