Lego Horizon Adventures officially confirmed, coming out this holiday

After getting leaked earlier this month, Sony has confirmed that it’s partnered with the popular toy brand Lego to bring fans Lego Horizon Adventures. As the name suggests, it’s a Legofied version of its PS4-era flagship IP, Horizon.

As revealed during the Summer Game Fest with a trailer, Horizon Adventures will loosely follow the events of Horizon: Zero Dawn with a single player or co-op skew. Featuring voice acting, much like the original games in the Lego line, we can seemingly expect the same actors for each character, at least when it comes to Aloy. Yes, you’ll have to fight large Legofied dinosaurs to stay alive.

Interestingly, this game doesn’t have any sort of connection to TT Games or any of its subsidiaries, which usually handles Lego versions of multimedia, like the line of Lego Star Wars games, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Batman, and the like. Instead, the game is co-developed by the series developer Guerrilla Games and co-development studio Studio Gobo.

Lego Horizon Adventures doesn’t have a concrete release date, but rather a release window of this holiday, which makes all the sense in the world. This game is also a landmark release as it isn’t going to be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and releasing on PC, but rather it’s heading out to the door day and date to the PS5 and both PC and the Nintendo Switch.
