Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition omits DLC

Nintendo continues to pour fuel onto the fire of fan ire online as it’s come out that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition will not include Expansion Pass, meaning those wanting to play the DLC will need to fork over another $20. That’s of course on top of the game itself, which is priced at $70.

As reported by IGN, Nintendo confirmed with it that the game will not include its DLC without really giving any sort of defense behind why.

“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition does not include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass DLC. That DLC is available as a separate purchase.”

Since the Switch 2 launch, Nintendo has been on a crusade to defend its decisions, like pricing Mario Kart World at $80, assuring people that it’s not set a new benchmark, and putting a price on Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, the tech demo of the Switch 2.

As it stands, the Switch 2 is right around the corner, with a June 5 release. While North America as a whole faces tariff problems, leading to the console’s pre-orders getting delayed, supposedly this won’t affect the console’s launch.
