Kingdom Hearts games are heading to Steam

After releasing exclusively on the Epic Games Store back in 2021, Kingdom Hearts 3, alongside a majority of its library, is heading to Steam next month. It’s not shocking that it’s heading to Steam, but we wouldn’t have expected such a sudden reveal for something happening in the following month.

Square Enix dropped the news of its launch on its blog, sharing that it will launch on June 13. The games heading to Steam are as follows:

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
  • Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC

Additionally, there’s Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece, which is just the entire collection bundled into one purchase. It also gives you a new platform-exclusive Keyblade The games itself are considered under Dark Seeker Saga.

Debuted in 2002 on the PS2, Kingdom Hearts has drawn quite a crowd, with its unique concept of blending original characters, Final Fantasy characters, and Disney and Pixar fare into one action-RPG package. Helmed by Tetsuya Nomura, it’s crafted a confusing yet heartfelt story of friendship, one that even turned a bad guy good.
