Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 delayed to next year, dev confirms

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is no longer releasing this year, developer Warhorse Studios has confirmed. But, we will get to see some stuff during Gamescom this year.

On Twitter, Warhorse dropped the news, noting it as a “long wait” but it has plans to keep people satiated until then, especially with Gamescom. Confirmed stuff we’ve got heading our way includes a 20+ minute gameplay showcase, a Collectors Edition Reveal, and previews going out from media and content creators. All that with the addition of a new trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Studio PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, then tacked on that the team simply needed a little more time and that the team can’t wait to see people at the event.

It is disappointing to see the game get delayed, but we’re sure the team knows what it’s doing.

Smash Jump associate editor Adrian got a chance to play Kingdom Come Deliverance: Royal Edition, giving it an 7/10. “Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a great game hindered by the outdated hardware it fights against.”

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is now releasing on February 11, 2025.
