Hogwarts Legacy sells over 24 million copies

You don’t need to be a genius to see Hogwarts Legacy has been a smash hit for Warner Bros., with a weighty 22 million copies sold last year, and already it’s off to a great start, with 2024 bringing in two million more copies sold. The Wizarding World game launched last year with a lot of fanfare, making it the best-selling game in both the US and UK.

Speaking to Variety, Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav said the game has surpassed 24 million copies in a mere two weeks. He hasn’t confirmed if any new Hogwarys Legacy content is in the works or a sequel, but with the immense success, we can’t imagine Warner Bros. Games will let it lie.

Moreover, WB Games’ David Haddad did tell Variety in a separate interview that more Harry Potter games are in the works, with many yet to be announced. We currently know of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, which seems to center around the fictional wizard sport. Outside of that, nothing else has been revealed.
