Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has no plans for microtransactions

Warner Bros. Games has become a controversial figure in the gaming scene, especially after doubling down on the live service market back in March. It looks like, though, it doesn’t want to rock the boat too much with its Harry Potter IP as it preps for the release of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions later this year, as this game has no plans for microtransactions.

As part of a press release (via GamingBolt), Unbroken Studios’ Quidditch romp won’t launch with microtransactions. Now, this doesn’t mean it can’t be added post-launch, but odds are Warner Bros. wants to see how the game fares financially without the inclusion of the model.

The game will be released both physically and digitally, with Deluxe editions arriving for $39.99 alongside its standard $29.99. Physical editions will arrive in November. The Deluxe edition will include in-game gold and Hogwarts House-centered cosmetics.

Harry Potter: Qudditch Champions launches to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 3.
