Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas will be getting remakes, however, insider Jez Corden has now confirmed that neither game is coming down the pipeline just yet.
Although Fallout Day yielded no surprise announcements for release information on the highly speculated Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas remakes, hopes were high that a shadow-drop was still in the cards. Unfortunately, after months of speculation, excitement will be coming to a simmer.
“I’m told Fallout 3 and New Vegas remakes aren’t exactly ‘imminent,’ and you shouldn’t expect them in the near term.”
That’s about as firm confirmation as one could hope for. While it isn’t great news, Corden’s previous report about the Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas remakes being planned for the future is still something to hold onto.
Coming off the back of two successful seasons of the Prime Video original series, Fallout hype is at the highest it has been in years. Bethesda and Microsoft undoubtedly want to capitalize on that success back in the gaming space; the only question remaining is: when? No solid date has been confirmed as of yet, even through recent reports, so we’ll have to hang on a while longer before finding out when it’s coming or what it will look like. For now, everybody will have to just hold on to the fact that they’re on the way.
