Dev name and logo scrubbed from GTA Trilogy splash screen following major update

A massive overhaul took place to the much-maligned 2021 Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy by Grove Street Games. Disgruntled fans took issue with its performance.

Following this overhaul, though, Grove Street Games’ name and logo have been scrubbed from the splash screen and main menu, leading to a thinly veiled tweet from studio boss, Thomas Williamson, calling such an action — hypothetically — a “dick move” on Twitter.

Now, it should be noted that Grove Street isn’t entirely snubbed from GTA: The Trilogy. Both GSG and Williamson himself are still listed in the game’s credits alongside mobile developer — which this trilogy was under the foundation of — Video Games Deluxe.

Despite its problems and even the studio apologizing and offering some free games to ease the bitter aftertaste, it still sold very well.
