Castle Crashers gets new DLC over a decade after release

Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth has announced a new paid DLC heading to PC players. The game is over a decade old.

During a 40-minute livestream, The Behemoth unveiled its roadmap full of new games and updates for its existing projects. Obviously, Castle Crashers is among the most iconic games in its library. Dubbed Painter Boss Paradise, this paid DLC allows players to make their own custom knight skins, introduce Paint Junior as a playable character, and more.

The 2D side-scrolling hack ‘n’ slash was released on Steam in 2012 but has its roots back in 2008 on the Xbox Live Arcade. The game lets you and three friends venture out to rescue the king’s daughters, a mystical gem, and overall duke it out with a dark wizard who crashed the king’s party.
