Baby Steps delayed to avoid Silksong

Bennett Foddy and co’s Baby Steps has joined Demonschool, delaying itself to avoid the competition it would face due to Hollow Knight: Silksong’s release just four days before its launch, choosing instead to release it a few weeks later.

In a somewhat cheeky announcement (via Polygon), publisher Devolver Digital announced that the game will no longer arrive on September 8, but instead on September 23. Of course, the two aren’t actual competition, one is a literal silly walking simulator while the other is a metroidvania, but the internet will be filled with talk about Silksong, probably drowning out other games for at least a week.

Baby Steps now launches on September 23 on the PC and PS5.
