Analysts predict Nintendo Switch 2 price around $400

Following the reveal of the highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, fans are latching onto anything that could be related to the upcoming console. Now analysts are predicting the price.

A Bloomberg report (via VGC) speaks with a trio of analysts — Yijia Zhai, Robin Zhu, and Dr. Serkan Toto — about the console. All three expect the console to be at minimum $100 more than the base Switch launch price, which at the time was $299. Now, it’s also possible to be more thanks to tariffs.

A Toyo Securities analyst, in contrast, believes it will around $500 due to components.

“The original Switch’s Nvidia chip is estimated to cost $80 per unit, while the Switch 2’s chip is likely to be in the $130-$150 range. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo goes ahead with $499.”

Analysts also expect this to be a massive launch, possibly even the biggest launch in gaming. While no real release date has been established, April 2 will be home to a special Nintendo Direct, which will probably answer all those questions.
