Former Battlefield director doesn’t have “anything positive to say” about EA

Former Battlefield director Marcus Lehto doesn’t have “anything positive to say” about his former employer, EA, following his recent departure amidst the many layoffs plaguing the industry. His departure went public and then only a day later, staff across the slew of studios under the company saw 5% of its staff reduced, with Ridgeline Studios shutting down in the process.

Taking to Twitter, Lehto addressed his silence on the matter, seemingly, with the announcement of the studio’s closure echoing that his choice to leave Ridgeline was partly why the studio shuttered.

This take isn’t that shocking, EA has been soaked in controversies for some time, with major issues going as far as lawsuits thanks to practices such as loot boxes.
