The Outlast Trials goes gold ahead of release next month

Red Barrels’ The Outlast Trials has gone gold ahead of its release in early March. The game has spent its time as a Steam Early Access game since May 2023, fostering a warm reception.

The dev took to Twitter to announce the feat, thanking console players for their patience, and telling players they can pre-order the game.

This four-player co-op romp is praised for bringing the horrors of the Outlast universe into a multiplayer experience where the player can customize their character and try to survive while being hunted. Unfortunately, it sounds like the game will omit cross-progression, so if you played it on PC, you’ll have to start from scratch on console.

This announcement keeps the game on track for its March 5 release date, with a slightly increased price at $39.99.
