Phasmophobia studio launches publishing label

Phasmophobia studio, Kinetic Games, is dipping its toes into the publishing space with Kinetic Publishing. Overall, the goal is to help indie developers “bring their best ideas to life.”

Kinetic Publishing’s site lays out some ground rules, specifically that it’s not interested in AI generated, blockchain, or Web3 games. It’s also not boxing itself into a corner, offering support for games of all genres. The publishing house offers funding as well as a slurry of advisory services to help with studio support, production, PR, marketing, and even dev support.

Beyond its publishing label, though, Kinetic is still all-in on releasing Phasmophobia 1.0 this year across all platforms. That said, there isn’t a real date.
