Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds releases for the latest Nintendo console with bonus content

Sega has announced the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The latest version will greatly improve performance with 60 FPS implemented for both docked and handheld modes. The game’s performance is limited to 30 FPS when playing with more than two players in either mode. The enhanced resolution is added for both modes are:

  • Docked Mode: 2560 x 1440
  • Handheld mode: 1920 x 1080

The trailer revealed that the latest version will be released digitally on December 3. The upgrade pack is currently $10, though the game is providing a 50% sale until December 10. The bonus Werehog DLC is also available to download for free for the Nintendo Switch 2 digital version until December 17. Physical collectors can purchase the physical game for $69.99 when it launches in early 2026. The developer also released an FAQ with more details for the Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade, like the digital deluxe content and performance patches.
