Nintendo may have seen internal data breached

Nintendo is now facing an issue with Crimson Collective, a known hacking group that previously breached Red Hat. Nintendo hasn’t addressed the hacking, nor do we think it has to.

Spotted by Hackmanac on Twitter, the group appears to have gained access to Nintendo topics files. Based on the screenshot, no customer data was stolen, just developer files, production assets, and backups.

If real, odds are Crimson Collective will try and extort Nintendo, but we have a hunch Nintendo won’t budge and would rather work with authorities to track down the hackers.
